Description

I make a number of bottom brackets and other parts for individuals who request them. They are usually manufactured because I don’t carry them as an off the shelf item or their bottom bracket shell is out of specification. If you would like a quotation, please use the contact me button and I will be able to give you an accurate estimate.

Almost every aspect is customisable from the colour, bearings, bearing spacing and most importantly the dimensions. Most of the time, I can engineer a bottom bracket so it no longer creaks.

    Arrived in Rhode Island, USA quickly. Well machined unit. Note: the Delron press bushings are bored for ½” rod. I bored them out to 5/8″ to use my Park BBP-1 bearing press. Followed Hambini video instructions. No problems installing in my Canyon Endurace.

    Brilliant work from Hambini. I’d bought new bottom bracket but found my frame deficient. Hambini kindly took it back and made me a custom one to fit. I’ve had two years of nasty creaking on pedalling – now entirely gone. Bike is running smooth, like new. Brilliant – big thanks for all the help Hambini.

    Hambini shouldn’t be allowed to sell these bottom brackets, they constitute an unfair increase in bottom bracket stiffness, quietness and bearing life. Since installing it my friends are unable to hear me attack, or keep up with me.

    I bought the go/no-go style tool Hambini has mentioned in some of his videos, which is machined to the tolerances of the BBRight standard. It allowed me to see whether my frame was within tolerances to begin with and whether I should continue trying to resolve the creaking or warranty the frame. For that purpose, it is absolutely well worth the money.

    In my case my frame seemed to be within tolerance and the installation of a a Hambini BBRight 24mm resolved all the creaking I had experienced for years.

    Support was brilliant from the first enquiry onwards.
    Hambini responds promptly to questions and provides updates on progress/shipping.

    He arranged to send a machined gauge to verify the bottom bracket shell dimensions were correct in the frame before creating a print and manufacturing a BB part.

    Bottom bracket was delivered with necessary adapters to assist with installation. It’s smooth and noise free in use and, while this is only perception, it seems to feel like a solid platform.

    Certainly could recommend purchasing one.

    Best BB you can get! Installed on my 2014 Giant TCR along with a new groupset and it’s made a noticeable improvement over the Shimano BB. LBS had no problems installing but my only regret is not ordering the accompanying installation tool as even using a socket type tool there are a couple of tiny marks from installation. LBS were also amazed at the smoothness of the bearings. Good advice from Hambini before ordering and the recommend Loctite compounds were easy to find online.

    Very nicely made, the sleave and socket that aligns the drive and now drive sides is so precise I initially had thoughts that it might take some fiddling to install but that was not the case. It was actually very easy to install, both sides went straight together while screwing it in, due to the inherent small play into the threads. Bonus points for no marring due to the way it is all designed. It now passes the Hambini spin test where as before it made one rotation, I assume due to bearing misalignment caused by the previously mentioned play in the threads.

    I puchased a go-no go bottom bracket gauge for BB86. The product can come in either brass or aluminum, I was very pleased to have the brass version. The quality of the machining looks to be top notch, I have not tested it yet. The product was delivered on time. Only quibble, and this is very minor, the dimensions were written in some indelible ink on the faces. It would have been nice if they were stamped or etched. Thank you Hambini .
