Bottom Bracket Bare Shells T47 and BSA
A couple of custom bottom bracket shells were designed and made for an individual in New Zealand. The customer was a carbon bike frame and repair centre on the outskirts of Auckland.
The first was a replacement BB shell for a Colnago frame. This frame had damage to the existing carbon shell to the point where the shell had spun. The replacement Hambini shell had a split fit with a locating spigot at the intersection. This ensures a very accurate location within the bike frame and facilitates easy installation.
The customer also needed a T47 shell for a custom build. This was of a similar design to the BSA. T47 operates on a 47mm diameter with a 1.0mm thread pitch.
