Precision Engineered and Manufactured in the United Kingdom
Hambini Bottom Brackets are amongst the lowest friction bottom brackets in the world. They are used by recreational cyclists, road racers, triathletes and time trialists from around the globe. They are of proven design and are manufactured in the United Kingdom. These units are of a one piece construction which makes them inherently resistant to creak, they will maintain perfect bearing alignment and function under loads in excess of 4000W.
Hassle-Free Maintenance
All Hambini bottom brackets can be installed and removed with a conventional bearing press, they use a controlled method of installation using the recommended fitting adaptors, they require no hammers or specialized tooling for removal. Additionally, the wearing component – the bearings – can be serviced in situ or removed within just a few minutes. The bottom bracket has been designed to be fully rebuildable.
Unrivalled Performance
Unloaded bearing spin tests are a poor measure of frictional performance but they do highlight good bearing alignment. The link below is to a video of a Hambini Racing Bottom Bracket that had completed 10,000km
Class Leading Parasitic Drag Loss (Friction)
The graph below shows how Hambini bottom brackets perform in comparison to the bottom brackets of other manufacturers. The test conditions model real world cycling and more importantly mimics realistic frame tolerances. All of these tests have been conducted with an eccentricity of 0.1mm which is generally the maximum permitted in frame specifications – the reality is tolerances have been known to be much worse than this. Misalignment is more critical to friction than the type of bearing ball material, a slight misalignment can easily outweigh the difference between a top of the range NTN bearing and a mediocre ebay no name bearing. The results show that bottom brackets which have an element of structural linkage between the drive and non-drive sides (one piece/threaded etc) perform much better than those which are multi piece.
The high torque and low RPM of pedaling causes high Hertzian contact stresses on bearing surfaces which cause friction levels to change over time. Those bottom brackets which have used ceramic bearings, start off with fairly low levels of friction but over time their friction increases dramatically. The super hard ceramic balls grind a track into the comparatively soft bearing races causing friction to increase. This would be analogous to trying to drive a locomotive train on a road, the wheels would cut grooves into the road surface due to the huge difference in surface hardness.
Bottom Bracket Stiffness
A Hambini BB is a one piece bottom bracket. It actively contributes to the stiffness of the bike’s pedaling platform. Threaded and multi piece bottom brackets have an element of play in their design so they do not contribute anywhere near a comparative level of stiffness. Reviewers of Hambini BB’s often comment on their feeling of improved stiffness, this is due to them being one piece and undergoing a proprietary heat treatment process. This makes them stronger and stiffer. This is a difference the end user cannot see – but they can feel.

Q & A
I don't comment on individual fitments as it will vary depending on the individual that builds your bike up. However, this is the bottom bracket that is supplied to Time as an OEM bottom bracket for their bikes.
It is the correct type assuming it's pre 2023. As always, it's worth making sure that there are no obstructions. It was featured in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0I3Q9mPrzk
It should do, I've got one! You might need to do a spot of light filing but that's about it.
It's recommended that you do. Open frames are of notoriously poor quality.

The upgrade from FSA PF30 cups to this is so noticeable, it feels like a different bike. My crank hardly used to spin on the old BB, on this it spins like butter. Hambini is super helpful. I will be honest, I was expecting some psychotic maniac after I watched the roasting from his Youtube videos but far from it. Polite and friendly emails. Super helpful. I would recommend in a flash.
Stan –
Get the best and give the rest the Hambini finger! Precision made candy for your ride. NTN Super Precision feel as smooth as any top ceramic.

Thank you Hambini!
This is my second Hambini bottom bracket that I have bought, the first one being PF30 to Shimano Classic, years ago – still running perfect.
After I installed the BB386EVO to Shimano Racing Edition and tested it, I can only say a HUGE THANK YOU HAMBINI!
My search for the best BB has been fulfilled.
Dave –
Very happy with my bottom bracket and the service received from Hambini. Installed the bracket on the weekend without issue. My bike rides super smooth. Who knew one part could make such a difference on a bike!
Richard K. –
I recieved my BB very quickly after placing the order even in the middle of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Once you have it in your hands you can see the finish is very high quality and it looks very robust.
My local bike shop fitted the BB after watching the Hambini fitting video and said it was very straight forward and went in with no issues.
To ride, the BB spins smoothly and is solid, no creaks of any kind. I switched from a SRAM Force groupset to Shimano GRX, paired with this BB it is definately supperia.
I’m a convert and will always go with a Hambini BB in future bikes. You get what you pay for, a quality product.

A masterclass in engineering, the reduction in friction is ridiculous.
Steve Ashton –
Just brilliant as usual.

Just as advertised! Easy installation. Made bottom bracket area extremely stiff and creak free. Use on Orbea Urdu with Shimano dura ace crank
Trevor –
The gold standard of craftsmanship and quality. The smoothest bearings I have ever seen. Crank spins EFFORTLESSLY for DAYS. worth every penny.
Benjamin Grass –
Great prompt service. Finally fixed the creaking on my Open, which occurred even with thread-together BB.
Matthew Hughes –
Excellent service, from my initial enquiry Hambini responded very quickly with the advice and guidance needed. Thank you.

Couldn’t be happier.i fitted this to a chinese carbon frame and expected some issues.fitted in about 10 minutes and haven’t had any problems at all..
Jeffrey G. –
Quite simply, this is the best bottom bracket on the market. This is my second Hambini bottom bracket and they work flawlessly. If you’re looking for precision in your drivetrain, squeezing out every watt possible and ensuring against and creaking, this is the product for you.
Kenneth K. –
A good one piece bottom bracket! No cracking and fits perfectly. All the positive reviews say more than words.

Easy installation. Works perfectly.
César Saura –
Hambini bottom brackets are the best I have ever had. Light, stiff and really well machined! They perform exactly as they should!
Christopher M. –
Once available, extremely fast delivery. Found everything I needed for installation online, as it should be but rather seldom is the case with most manufacturers from the bicycle industry. After first few rides the difference is noticeable between Hambini BB and my old one. Works quietly and effectively. What’s more to wish for?!
Anthony C. –
Top quality product shipped quickly. Excellent customer service too. If I had a bike completely built to Hambini quality I would be a very happy man.
Parvez A. –
1st class bottom bracket and bearings as expected, thank you Hambini for all your help and advice!

Finally got my frame (after 6 months of waiting) to get this installed and the bike built.
Installation: Although it is not convention, but I had this BB installed in a Ti gravel frame. Metal-to-Metal interface was not the best experience for installation as this BB has extremely tight tolerances. The adaptors and the BB tool supplied did break. We manage to get the BB in but the the last 1mm was a no go….I have been told that this BB will not come out unless a custom jig is used to hold the BB shell. Hopefully I will not need to get it out.
Performance: This BB is “the bees knees” (as one YouTube reviewer pointed it out). I come from a threaded BBR60 on a steel frame….so this BB almost definitely stands out….the climbing feels way less effort. Acceleration is also noticeably difference. The NTN bearings are the real deal. My “ ceramic” pals were also surprised on how well the a bottom bracket feels. In my opinion this is “the bottom bracket for heavier rider” especially one who has to climb 10-20% grade gravel hills from time to time.
Concerns: None – The only major concern would galvanic corrosion due to Ti-Al interface on a long term.

Highest quality components!

Incredible piece of over-engineering… Spindle is held by two monster bearings of the highest quality, like you would find on a turbine. Worth every penny!
Matthew T. –
Best BB ever. Straight forward installation, power gain and smoothness unparalleled to any other. Even a weekend warrior can feel the differences
Chris S. –
Simply the best out there.

I am a retired Master Frame builder and therefore have installed and used many so called top quality BB’s. However nothing has come close to the accuracy and pure engineering quality of Hambini’s BB
Lars Wittrock –
The product is obviously world class. Support and inquiries was answered with short notice so I am happy.
Blake Armson –
You simply cannot buy a better BB…
Stefan –
Andy McDonald –
Great service from point of purchase through to a post purchase enquiry regarding fit. As a larger rider I can feel a difference in the smoothness in my pedal stroke under higher loads. Great product and would certainly consider again for my other bikes.
John Flanagan –
Ordering process was easy. Bearings feel silky smooth. Installed without any issues. Haven’t ridden it yet, waiting for better weather.
Steve Knowles –
This bottom bracket certainly looks the part, the engineering is superb but at nearly £300 including vat it should be. Fitting was straightforward and because its press fit I wanted a one piece BB to hopefully avoid any creaking. Can wait to ride it.
Robert K. –
This bottom bracket is super solid. The quality is evident, from how smoothly everything presses in to the precision machined finish. I installed it on a Time Alpe d’Huez 21, following Hambini’s videos without issue. I applied Loctite 641 with 7649 activator and there has been no creaking. The crank spins with very little resistance. If you want the best, this is it.
Hans M. –
Beautiful piece of kit. The tools included were of remarkably high quality as well.
Arin D. –
Works great. Rigid body, precise dimensions, easy installation. And most importantly smooth operation with no creaks under load. I’m a 220lb fellow and wheels mfg BB creaked like a pirate ship. This is worth more than it costs.

James Jones –
Great service

I bought two of these, One for my Time Alpe D’huez and the other for my ADHX.
What can I say other than the thing never creaks. You put your foot on the pedal and there is zero give.
Hambini’s workmanship is obvious when you receive the Bottom Bracket. His service is another level and you would be hard pushed to receive that level from anywhere else, especially in the bike industry.
The comedy of his youtube and pretending to be 5 is lost when you email him. Very professional and thorough. I would have not think twice about recommending him or his products.

An exceptional piece! It is the second bottom bracket I own from Hambini. Built like a tank, very light and the bearings are working so smooth. The maintenability is a big plus too! Built to last and perform.

Ben de Vries –
Very, very high quality BB – don’t think there’s anything better on the market.
Super smooth and spins forever.
I can’t quantify if it improved the stiffness as I installed this on a brand new Time ADHX frame.
Small piece of advice: don’t cheap out on the Loctite 641. I did and the 641 bottle that I ordered contained something that wasn’t correct. Once I found out it was too late. Now I just hope I never have to pull the BB out as I’m not sure I’ll manage without destroying the frame… Running Shimano Di2 so if e.g. the cable to the rear derailleur breaks I may have a big problem…. None of this takes anything away from the quality of the Hambini BB. Just make sure you don’t receive counterfeit Loctite 641…

Hambini was very helpful and fast with the order. Recommend.

Thanks for making this happen Hambini! Both myself and my customer are very satisfied!!

Fit perfectly in my Time ADHX. Loctite was necessary as it was an easy press fit. I should have bought this in the first place as two other thread together BBs were significantly undersize.
Arden Thomas –
I have not installed it yet, but Hambini was responsive to questions, and the well engineered one piece BB appears to be a great way to avoid future problems.
Mario K. –
havent installed the bb yet but finishing and included hardware is top notch, just what you would expect from other higher end brands
Stephen –
Work of art!

The Hambini BB spins incredibly smoothly on my CEEPO Mamba-R. The precision of the parts is clearly high, and the bike shop that did the work was impressed. It seems there was no trouble inserting it smoothly. The fact that I can now replace the bearings myself at any time is fantastic, allowing me to frequently change them and always maintain the best condition.

Due to the fact tha UK no longer is part of EU, makes it both more expensive and the delivery takes longer due to customs fees when ordering from Hambini.
The bottom bracket is superb and my cranks is spinning like newer before.
