Q & A
yes it is.
It would need threadlock. Some retaining compounds do double up as threadlock. Straight out retaining compound is not going to be adequate.
The drive side requires threadlock. 18Nm torque
Shimano tools come in multiple sizes so it's best to check. There is an interface diagram available for verification

Works really well in my Pinarello. Fitting was straightforward and you can feel the difference going up hill. There is no give in the crank. Expensive but be under no illusions this is a quality piece of engineering, you’ll feel the difference when you pick it up. A lot of time and effort has gone into the making of this.

difference in day and night from the OEM bracket

I am still building my bike and it is not finished yet. So I haven’t rode and tried the BB while riding. But here are my first impressions. Out of the box you can tell that this is a high quality BB. The tolerances are astonishing. It feels and looks solid and well built. Will update the review on my first 1000 miles.

Pinarello Dogman F12 build. I didn’t fit it, but the mechanic said it went in smoothly and was better made, and for what it’s worth span smoother than the ceramic BB’s he’s been installing. Very happy so far! Good job Hambini. Great help and support with the purchase also. Cheers!

Best quality of Bb. I give 5 start

Already have and use the British version of this BB. This one is just as good in every way.

Having destroyed my original BB (and hearing with the creaks and ticks it made) on my F8 after around 25k across various parts of UK and UAE so all weathers and conditions 2021 has been the time to upgrade a few parts – for the BB this was a little extravagant but the core aligning bearings and the overall quality (as per 3rd part reviews) pulled trigger – fits and performs beautifully and silently or fit and forget (for now)

Best quality of BB Hambini i have seen

Absolutely love it. The pedalling is very smooth thus improving timing and less fatique in my 2 rides taking my usual route. The best upgrade on my bike so far. The shimano bb I replaced was about 9 months old, looked almost new and yet I can feel a big difference in ride quality. Definitely recommending this product.

Excellent quality product. Installed in my Pinarello GAN RS frame, as regards to shimano( BB-R60 3pcs ) which rotated quite well, this Hambini 2pc high precision component is on another level. I video’d it rotating for over 20seconds! They are not the usual cheap BB for bicycles, but would you put a cheap BB in an expensive racing bike? Well shimano do! As opposed to a £35,00 shimano unit, a £200 Hambini one gives me peace of mind knowing that this part will outlast the bike! Comunication, shipping and courtesy from this guy respect his products. 5 STARS!!!

Smooth purchase experience. Delivery took some time but it did arrive. Didn’t seem to have much trouble installing. Bb is amazingly smooth. Love it.

Took my first ride on my new bottom bracket. I felt a difference so far so good. Even my bike shop who put it on said I should see a difference and he said it has done very good bearings.

The bottom bracket is smooth like a young hairdresser, You cant feel any rubbing or resistance, well lubricated.

Good looking bit of kit.

Second Hambini BB I’ve bought. No hesitation (despite the cost!) in adding this upgrade to my summer (carbon fibre) bike, after upgrading my winter (ti) bike last year. These BB’s are just a sublime piece of precision engineering IMO. Both my bike frames (but particularly the ti frame) had a degree of misalignment/poor concentricity between the opposing threads in the BB shell. Shame on these bike frame manufacturers! As well as noticably reducing the drag as you pedal, Hambini BB’s also feel to stiffen up the crank/frame assembly, you can feel the difference when climbing out of the saddle – particularly the steep stuff! They are expensive – but you get what you pay for. Relatively early days regarding reliability but I’m confident they’ll outlast typical OEM BB’s several times over, such is the precision/bullet proof construction of these beauties, then you just swap out the bearings. Highly recommended 👍

You wont find a better BB. When I bought the first one, a few years ago, I thought it was too expensive and it better be good. This time I when I ordered my new bicycle I immediately bought the bottom bracket and had it for months before my bike was ready. I only wish that a small hambini sticker was send with the BB to display it on the bike.
