Q. What is the best bearing brand?
NTN, NSK, FAG and SKF are all quality bearing suppliers and their products meet ISO/JIS/DIN standards. When selecting a bearing it is important to ensure that the bearing fits correctly within the enclosure. Far eastern bearings sold on ebay or amazon are often out of specification in one or multiple parameters, these fit issues manifest themselves as creak or poor bearing life. Some sellers have been known to sell fake bearings which are very difficult to spot without specialized measuring equipment, fitting these usually presents the same problems. In short, fitting genuine branded bearings is recommended

For road racing, NTN LLB series, SKF RZ series and NSK VV series are recommended. For inclement weather or extended life, NTN LLU series, SKF 2RS series, NSK DD series or FAG 2RS series are recommended

It will be either SKF, NTN, NSK, FAG, INA KOYO, NACHI, Timken, ZEN
NTN and SKF don't make them available through standard channels. You would be unlikely to find a part number

Nice bearings, zen.com bearing from germany. Far and away the best 2437 bearings I have found, since the only other company making that size is Enduro. The enduros were crap, never got a full season from them.
The 2437 Zen bearings are made in china but appear to be high quality. Great serviced shipped the day I ordered.

I have tried Enduro and DT Swiss, both of them had quite poor performance. I received 4 bearings in total, 2 were Toyama and 2 were ZEN. These were a definite improvement over the Enduro and DT. There was much less flex in the wheel at the hub.

Received 2 of the Toyama versions in this unusual non standard bearing size (thanks Shimano – couldn’t you have used 25mm axles). Not installed the bearings used but they do certainly look quality – especially the seals. Super fast delivery.
