This is an installation tool designed to fit Hambini BSA 30mm, BSA DUB, T47 and T45 bottom brackets. This tool is a very close fit to Hambini BB’s and there is minimal slack.

Description

This tool allows easy installation of 6806 based Hambini Threaded Bottom Brackets. These are:

  • 13mm deep profile
  • COLOR MAY VARY
  • 32mm hex across flats makes it easy to use an adjustable wrench/spanner or a dedicated socket drive
  • The spline drive is machined and not pressed
  • Minimizes the chance of slippage
  • Precision Engineered, there is a very little clearance between the Tool and Bottom Bracket
  • This may fit bottom brackets from other manufacturers, a drawing is attached for reference.

    I used the abbey tool previously and the park tool before that. The fit between this and the BB is much better. Clearly made to more precise tolerances. Reasonably priced.

    Fits great. Just make sure you have a big adjustable wrench. Would be nice if it were a 19mm, 1″, or 1/2″ female- something to easily put a torque wrench onto.

    Excellent service, item was quickly despatched and well packaged. I bought this for my Colnago C64 as it has a virtual proprietary bottom bracket and it is very difficult to find these tools, let alone obtain one from a reputable company. I purchased it in the hope that I have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it. Even though I have not used the tool I have 100% faith in Hambini professional engineering. Highly recommended.

    Perfectly fits the BB, just as well-made as the BB itself. I have the BB with internal bearings (Trek) which only has a small surface for the tool to grab on to. Maybe the tool could be improved with a center section that fit’s the inside diameter of the bearing, that would give even better purchase on de the BB flange and prevent slipping. But the install went very well, great product!

Q & A

Does this tool fit original Colnago Threadfit 82.5 (T45) bottom bracket cups and is suitable for removing and installing them? I believed T47 and T45 have different size. Fabio asked on November 2, 2022

The Hambini Tool dimensions are published, The colnago ones are not so I would advise checking with them.

Would you consider making one with a 1/2" interface to be used with torque wrenches? I bought this big torque wrench to compensate for my own insecurities and I'd be a pity if I couldn't use it robbe asked on August 25, 2022

You can use a 1/2" torque wrench, it will ned a 32mm socket in between.
